| The Queen's Head premises was the block shown here
with the lower windows and standing forward of the rest of the (later?)
terrace. The 1st edition Ordnance Survey seems to show this whole block as the Queen's Head. At the end of the 19th century the building was out of use as a pub and became Melrose's butchers (also noted by McAndrews) and probably one other retail premises. |
