E Company, 7th Battalion Northumberland Fusiliers

AKA  'Amble Company'. (will also contain Broomhill and Warkworth men.)   large image

Date uncertain, but prior to the battalion's departure for France, April 1915.

Sadly a significant proportion of these men would never return and are recorded by name on our war memorials.

Image is in the care of author & historian John Hardy of Red Row, originally provided by Jack Mitchinson of Amble, who has identified his own ancestors and several others in the image.

If you can identify anyone else in the picture please contact us.
